City of Houston conducted a pilot test using the Neutral Output Discharge Elimination System (NO-DES) to perform flushing and filtration services in selected portion of D73 distribution system. The aim of this test was to remove sediments and deposits from the water mains the selected areas to improve the aesthetic water quality for the customers. Civitas assisted the City in developing a pilot test plan and submit it to Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for authorization. After the approval from TCEQ, Civitas coordinated and provided oversight for the 5-day flushing process and documented findings in a Pilot Test Report.
